I just finished my first "real" animation with POV - unfortunately, I only
have enough room on my site for an excerpt (yes, I feel like a dork).
Anyway, it's 2 megs in size, has sound, and you can see it here:

Let me know what you think. Peace.

So, don't leave us hanging, what DO you call a bee who's had a spell put on
him?
(Pretty cool animation, by the way. At least, I like it.)

Goofy, I like it! ;o) How did you animate this? Looks a bit complex to do
with splines and such... It's very nice.

Can't make out the punch line and you should have extra time/frames at the end
for the "Boom Boom" effect. :-} I like the wing movement.

That's really cool! The animation on the bee's movements is nice and smooth,
their faces don't animate quite so smoothly but at least the lipsync is good.
Can you make the full version available?

Thanks! Actually, each bee is controlled by one spline for translation and
another for rotation. I created a macro that generates a prism based on a
particular vowel sound ("ah", "ooh", etc), and some more splines for closed
mouths.
All in all, this thing took three weeks to do (calendar weeks, that is - I
wished I would've kept track of actual hours spent working on it). Editing
was done with Quicktime Pro, sound recorded on Opcode Vision DSP ($59
download version - quite the bargain!). Yes, that's my retarded voice for
the talking bees; the buzzing in the background is supplied by my daughter.

The whole thing is larger than I have space allotted for me on my website.
In the future I will make it available on CD-ROM, but I'd like to add a few
more animations to it first.

I wish I could see this clip, but when I try to watch it, I get the
error "An invalid alignment was specified." And it's not even div-x or
anything like that, so I have no idea why...

How big is it? If you want you can mail it to me and I can host it on my
website. I just want to see the full thing! :)
