A couple of hours of tweaking and a week of rendering! It's a little to big 
(1.4MB) to post here so here's the link:

The clouds are a bit glitchy (because they're just flat cards) and the water 
doesn't animate but I can't be bothered doing another week-long render!

WOW!! That is *amazing*!! The effect is just ... stunning. Ten
thumbs up for this animation. Now if you just added a (very)
slight movement to that cloud in the upper left, it would be
perfect. I love how the shadows flicker as the sun passes
behind the clouds over the horizon.

This would be perfect as a backdrop for a longer animation, if
you're inclined to make one.
