I replaced all the rands controlling the scene I posted in p.b.i with 
smoothly varying noise values, so that I could make this bizarre animation. 
Looks v strange :)

Glass that's alive. Hadn't thought of those other renders you posted as 
being animatible at all, probably because they looked so right as a kind of 
modern sculpture statue. If it grew at the same time maybe this could be 
some kind of bacteria or microbe.

I could probably join Orchid in a motion sickness pill if I watched that too 
long.

Got to ask this: how are you doing the camera location? Is it only circling 
while rising and falling at the same time, or is there a more complicated 
path being used? Not easy to follow because I'm not sure if the lights are 
stationary.

Well, forget answering that. Have seen you have the pov file there, too. 
Stationary camera and everything else moving might explain the amusement 
park ride feel.  :)

Yup. Actually I was surprised by how convincing the camera "motion" is, I 
thought animating it might give away the fact that everything else is 
moving, but I guess our brains are just wired to judge everything relative 
to a ground plane.
