So. Did this one the last two days. Have had a long leave from POV-Ray and
modelling with Silo, too much work and personal issues. I deemed it'd be
time to be a little productive, so that I can have some feeling of at least
accomplishing something *somewhere*.

It's a WIP, and not aimed at 100% realism. More like a stylistic vision of a
stoneage-axe. Even though it is unlikely to appear in my next short, it is
part of the Teaser I want to get done. The teaser shall prepare, to some
extent, what the viewer may and may not expect to see in the short. For me,
it also gives me some reason to model and get some modelling experience
before tackling bigger things in the short, along with some compositing
stuff that I may end up doing with POV-Ray for the fun of it. :-)

Comments, critique and praise (especially praise ;-) appreciated! Note that
I'll probably add a little more leathery rope, doesn't look too durable at
the moment...

Regards,
Tim

Looks nice. It reminds me of some good quality modeling clay work meant
for animation; something about the looks nad feel of it. BTW, did you
have Cyclic_Animation turned off or is it something about the encoder? It
seems to pause each loop.

Hm, cool! Didn't know I was capable of that! :-)

Yeah, forgot the cyclic animation... Shame on me, got to remember that next
time. :-)

If you're going for a Flintstones look, you're just about there.

Hehe, nope, not really. Its just simplistic, nice and round. Once the Teaser
is done, you'll see where I'm heading. :-)
Thanks for the comment!

So, I guess this one is done. Comments and suggestions welcome. Don't pay
too close attention to the knot on the back, I'm a noob at
subdivision-surface modelling and that's the best I could do after an hour
of work. And since its such a small detail, I didn't want to bother with it
anymore. :-) Hopefully, the other objects will be done in not too long a
time so that I can work on the setting up the Teaser. :-D

Tim

It doesn't look very sharp :-) Also, what is stopping the stone flying out
backwards when you hit something with it?...

Stylistic choices...

Maybe I'll have to make it a little more obvious, but there are small
carvings where the leatherband goes along.
