Hey all,

I haven't made much progress on my Myst game rip-off elevator (life keeps
getting in the way), but here's the latest. Not many changes... still
trying to come up with some funky, complicated mechanisms. Originally made
as a test scene to be done completely with Moray, I'm rewriting it from the
ground up in pure, unadulterated, typed-in-the-editor-by-hand, POV.

Nice animation! It's cool that you can't see the top of the elevator
directly, only in reflections. How much time did it take to make and render?

In your next animation it would be cool to see it stopping and opening the
door.

Render time was about three hours for 120 or so frames to make the
animations. I've been working on the project on and off (mostly off) for
months. I was making it in Moray, but have decided to re-do it by hand, and
that's added to the time it's taking. Still working on mechanisms for the
door opening and some type of protection to keep people from falling down
the hole when there's no elevator there.
