The big one is mpeg2 @ 720x480 and the second is mpeg1 360x240.

I just thought mpeg would be the most viewable format.

MPEG1 is probably the most viewable format. MPEG2 isn't available by
default on windows (well maybe on XP, I don't know but not with older
versions). Note that if you are on an older windows version but have
a DVD drive, there's a fair chance that the tools cd that came with
the DVD drive has the MPEG2 codec as part of the DVD viewing
application. Otherwise, I think that ffdshow includes an MPEG2 codec:

PS: mpeg4/divx is probably a better choice than MPEG2 since more
people have installed the appropriate codec.

They work for me, though a little choppy in playback using "Media Player
Classic", the "Quicktime Alternative" from the OpenSource Community.

Anyways, looks very pretty. Can't wait to see a Sci-Fi image with lots of
these ships, parking lots and whatnot. :-)

I would think the same way. I can view the small one but not the
big one. I just upgraded Media Player and DirectX to the latest
versions. What program did you use to encode the big one?
