Regarding both animations: they're pretty dark, along with compression I
can't always figure out where to look or what it is that I'm seeing. The
second animation though does seem quiet more fluid and lively (especially
without that stop and go we all know from rush hour :-), so I'd say you're
heading in the right direction.

Yes the animation is a little dark. I did try doing it with a checker box
around the scene but it was slowing up the process a little too much. I
will leave an animation running overnight with those settings to see if it
is any better.
If anyone has any other suggestions on how to keep the detail and not lose
it in compression I would be glad to hear.
