Try ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow), that's what I use to view
DivX and Xvid

Mostly Wings 3D. ZeSly added the animation to the still scene that can be
downloaded here :
http://www.oyonale.com/ressources/downloads/scifi_demo.zip (28 Mb, 110 Mb
unzipped)

Of course it is, you just have to repeat the pattern of traffic flying past.

I really want a very hi res looped version of this that I could have on my PC as
a screen saver! It's absolutely jaw-dropping!

I downloaded this and oddly it allows me to view Skip's Desert Eagle Camera
Fly-By which I couldn't view before but I still can't view Gilles's scifi
demo animated. All this talk has really got me wanting to see it too.
Could someone post it in a different format?

Thanks,
Carl

Here's one, also in DivX but reencoded with sound (by Martial Rameaux), so
it could be different.

Thanks... I can see... and hear that one. I see its a smaller file then the
one without sound. Am I correct to assume the other file is just a longer
animation

Oh wow, you really need to move the camera tho. How about rendering it at
16:9 ?

Excelent stuff.

But oddly enough, I thought the yellow car (that appears closer to the
camera in the still) would move away from the camera and not in the camera
direction ?!??

Is the front of the car away or into the camera? Gilles?

You are seeing the front of the car. The two tubes appear to be intakes.
If you render the car and rotate it 180 degrees
you'll see the hot exhaust port out the back of the car.
