I am not a fan of the movie, but a bet with a friend led me to
produce this :
http://users.skynet.be/bs936509/out4.avi
It's a 2 Mb DivX 5.03.
I'd like to know : has anyone already tried to reproduce
this famous effect with POV-Ray ?
Fabien.

PS: is there an image "behind" the scrolling text in the movie? never
noticed it, should pay attention tonight since the movie will be on TV.

Actually I did a boot screen for my win98 machine which used a cycling palette
to animate the letters. I made it with povray but post processed it to set up
the palette correctly. It didn't look as good as this though! Nice work.

Not int the first one, but the sequel's trailer shows a scroll
with a video fading in, I'm currently trying (and it seems to work)
to get a video playing in the background.

Once I found a nice tutorial about creating it which was for POV or could be
easy adapted to POV. But I can find it now :-(
