I accidentally used rotate 360*clock instead of rotate 360*y*clock, but
whatever. This is an animation of the edges of the cells in the crackle
pattern, using emitting media.

I once did something like this; was inspired by that scene that comes with
POV-Ray - it's called "microscope" or something. But the thing I made was
way too complicated, and you couldn't really see what it was. Yours is much
clearer.
