Hi Folks,
Another bouncing ball.
This one has asymetric weighting - as Christoph suggested, one side is
heavier than the other by quite a bit.
The ball is not a mesh now, just a modified sphere to get the pattern,
and then moved into position using the three point transform.
I'll probably try an egg or rugby ball shape next.
Let me know when you get tired of these ...

I watched the movie before I read the text in your post, and thought, "Hm,
there's something wrong there -- that ball is lopsided." :-)
Very cool effect. Of course, now I'm imagining the ball itself as the only
light source...

btw - next time you do a lop sided ball, how about making the heavy side a
different shade?

Why not try placing a smaller heavy ball inside another? I would be
interested in this effect. Make the bigger one slightly transparent so you
can see the smaller ball inside.

Thats an idea I want to put special emphasize on. Seems like
a good idea to me, though this might slow the outer sphere
very fast, with enough momentum, would give interesting
effects me thinks.

Very nice. It looks a bit like one of these toy figures that turn
straight up again no matter in what position you place them on the ground.
