Does it evoke:
1) pity for incompetent coding?
or
2) an extra creepiness because it doesn't care how inefficient or
deformed-looking it is-- it's gonna getcha anyhow?

I don't know if they're that bad. Just imagine a few thousands of those
running through a dark hall towards you.... would you run? (Just disconnect
your computer from the electricity and you'll be ok...)

Their bodyshape looks threatening -- mainly because of the way they lean
forwards towards you, while inching your way...

Perhaps a bit more detail in the body (ie teeth or something and a good
texture).

The body movement as a whole would then be scarier.

Mind you they do look like something has chopped off a leg or something..
:)

Oops. I didn't think this post actually went through: I got an error message
and wasn't able to see it earlier today. Sorry for triple-posting on one

This one looks really cool. Much nicer than the previous one. The spiders
now look scary.

All the best

Fidel

I think these look more 'clumsy' than your original version, less
threatening.
