How boring!  The zoomed-in bits look just like what came before them ;-)

Seriously, Pov is GREAT for zooms.  The only trouble is the
floating-point limitation, of course.  Perhaps, though, when the long(or
should that be long double :)-awaited update to Fractint comes out,
we'll be able to do anti-aliased zooms as far as we like.  But it
probably would still be easier to use Pov to change the palette as you
go with the SDL...  Guess we'll have to wait and see but for now, at
least, Pov gets my vote.

If anyone else is interested, I've posted a scene file I made long ago
to zoom into fractals to p.b.s-f.
