Mmm... Good stuff! A bit blurry on my laptop's LCD display - but that's
hardly your fault ;-) Can't wait to see a larger version... (But of course,
I'll have to - bigger graphics = bigger downloads *sigh*)

Andrew.

Shields wouldn't hurt either. Mabye the AI could react to shield strength.

MPEG, probably. The original is very crisp on my laptop. =)

Thrusters! Now there's an idea! Heh =)

Where do you suppose thrusters would best go on these ships? I hadn't
thought of them...

I thought of that, but one-shot-one-kill was a lot easier to program...

Very nice, this is coming along great! Is it just me or do some of the
explosions seem to travel toward the camera instead of following the vector
of the ship that exploded?

Damn right. Shields are a pain to do, although they look good.

They stay in one place. The camera is moving forward a little bit so that
the action doesn't get too far away to see.

It would probably be more physically realistic for the explosions to
continue in the direction of the ships that died, but I am purposefully
sacrificing some realism in favor of creating effects that people are used
to seeing in movies and such.

In the new version, the explosions are much more realistic, and little
pieces of broken space ship fly out of them =)

Ah, that explains why only some of the explosions seem to do this; they are
the ones near the center of the view, so the effect is amplified. But, why
perpetuate movie-physics? <grin>
