As I'm more into animations than still images, it has always bothered me
that my Fast Grass Include File doesn't work in animations (where the camera
move). Oh well...

On a completely unrelated note, what do you think the attached animation is
a test of?

Hey, that looks interesting. For far away landscapes
pretty useful, or things that are out of focus. But when
looking closely... Ah, you know.

Good job!

It definitely works for me- here you have depth and the ability to view from
any angle, and still preserve the illusion of individual, fairly realistic
blades of grass. I'll bet that if you sank the ball or any other object into
the surface, the illusion would still work properly.

Cheers!

This is just the first test of the technique. I hope to get it to look as
good as my existing Fast Grass
(http://rsj.mobilixnet.dk/3d/include/fgrass.jpg). It's still not meant for
close-up views of course, but I'd say it can be used for more than just far
away landscapes. As long as the camera is not at grass-level, but at normal
eye-level...

That's the goal! :)
Don't know if they're fairly realistic yet though...

Hmm, something to try out...

Nice ... is it the same or a similar technique as the still-life grass ?

I think you'll find a way ... this is a very good start ...

No, it's a completely different technique.

Thanks!

Right now I'm working on adding turbulence to the blades.
