I have created a rudimentary n-body particle system. This particular scene
includes 5 bodies. Four of them are in one plane and are rotating around a
common point. The fifth particle (in the center) is initially at rest. The
gravity of the 4 pulls the center body through the center of the 4. This
continues through several oscillations. The give and take of energy causes
the 4 to either have large or small orbits. By watching the shadows, you
can see that the movement of the 5th particle also changes in the magnitude
of its oscillations.

I have placed a plane beneath the particles so as to help in showing the
third deminsion. This plane does not interact with the particles, it's only
function is to show the shadows of the particles.

I'm new to POV so excuse the sparseness of the background.

Later I will post an avi showing what happens if another body is introduced
which disturbs the balance of this system.
