Only smoke for the moment, but a burning red rock will be added soon (I hope...)

hehe :)  H.E. Day is a much better artist than I am, and I'll never get even close to
his
skills.  He doesn't only make effects like this (and better), but he's also able to
design
the most wonderful spaceships (and other things), and he has the ability to make
beautiful
images and stunning animations with it.  It wouldn't surprise me if his name would
appear
in the credits of a (sci-fi?) movie somewhere in the next few years.  In fact, it
would be
a shame if he's not gonna be a professional 3D-artist.

I'll share the shader when it's finished.  I'm not very good in explaining things
actually... (not in English anyway).  I can tell you however, that there is actually
only
one very simple blob used, and a rounded cone would be good enough.  The previous
version
used the blob's geometry to give the smoke some shape, but as you can see the results
are
much better now.
