This is from a project for my German class. I'm not posting them here
since I couldn't get them very small (they're ~2 MB ea.)
I've dreamed about this kind of thing for quite awhile, and the
better alpha output with POV 3.5 makes it a reality. Both effects are
rendered in beta 8.

Now all you need is a little more practice with keeping the camera and
lighting identical when switching things.

Somehow the microwave was more believeable  ;-)
Explode.mov looks like you have come back to see your monitor showing a four
day render had ceased to exist.

Avid XPress.

I had some successful experiments in Adobe AfterEffects also,
but I was editing the picture with Avid so it was easier to use Avid for the
compositing also.
