Well, out of the many things I'd like to try out with my particle system,
that isn't one of the most interesting as I see it.

Is this scene generated in Mathematica like some of the other recent ones? I
wonder if anyone has any particle systems that "run" completely under POV..
There's Chris Colefax', of course..

I don't think so. Most of these scenes are exclusively POV generated.

But Chris Colefax' systems are not so up to date. They lack all the
possibilites offered by the trace () function.

Remember seeing a Walt Disney feature in which the nuclear chain was
demonstrated using hundreds of table tennis balls on mouse traps, the
whole event being started by one ball dropped on one mouse trap.

Something for someone to try???

Ahem, my particle system has been all POV all the time...

Excatly, but animated using the particle system collision detection.
