Folks:

Here's the original Iso surface experiments I was doing for water. It's not
ripples, but it is neat, so I added some color and ran an animation. I have
a sphere at the outer edge to add visual interest. Comments welcome!

P.S. The iso function here is:

function {
        sqrt(sqr(x) + sqr(y) + sqr(z)) - 1 -
          WrinklesFunc(x,z,y) * WaveDepth
       }

Wow! I like how this dissolves! It kinda looks like a piece of hard candy
that gradually wears down (it melts in your mouth, not in your hand(TM)).
The renewal phase looks a tad abrupt to me, though.

Yep, it wasn't at all what I needed, but it's pretty cool by itself.

This gave me an idea for the IRTC, but as I've got 23 hours, I don't think I
can get it together <G>

I just ran the phase on the wrinkle pattern for the iso surface by 'clock'
so although I agree with you about the 'renewal phase' it's all just the
same clock. Not sure how I can seperate this.
