You want to look at "elongation" and "shear". Make "elongation" small. Play
with "shear".

Hmmm... "elongation", yes, I agree, but "shear"? What about "strength"?
My one gripe is.."why so many options?" Surely elongation, shear and
strength could be combined into one option.

Because they are 3 totally different things. Shear is diagonal stretching.
Elongation is how much you want it to stretch beyond the "dist" you
establish. Strength controls stiffness or how easily the "springs" between
points bend.

Maybe if you could make it make folds and drapes instead of stretching, it
would look more like cloth. I don't know how possible this is. This could
still be fine for t-shirt material...
