If the timber has any reflective qualities, the photons will reflect off it
on to other objects. Also, for example, if you have a shiny metal ring
sitting on a timber surface, you'll get photons shining off the metal on to
the timber surface.

Try compressing it with MPEG, that way everyone will be able to view it as
there are lots of players for many different platforms.
You might consider using a utility like AVI2MPG if you want to keep an AVI
copy, without having to render to Targas.

Or just do a batch conversion of the bmps
