Looks like winter or somewhere Scandinavian.

I loved it, but the behavior of the spheres shadows were very odd. I
sprained my brain just thinking how you got them to act the way you did.

Very nice animation
I made this one myself a couple months back, but never bothered to post the
resulting animation as it was about 2.5 Mb in size.
If anyone wishes to download it http://home.no.net/azoth/sunset.avi (divX5,
2.5 Mb) or http://home.no.net/azoth/sunset.mpg (mpeg-1, 10 Mb)
1201 frames, showing 24 hours from sunrise to sunset at 59'2 N 16'0 E 21st
of June 2002 - made with povray 3.5 beta something.
Cannot remember the exact time it took to create - I used 3 different
machines, but I think it took like 150 hours or something.
Enjoy,

Cool as in cold or cool as in nice ?

I think this is mostly due to the whitheish ground, white spheres and no
clouds. And maybe a sky a bit too blue.

The source for the camera is in the message... (The sky is a tesselated
sphere.)

I like it, but I find the sky to be a bit too green and we do not see a sun.
