That's pretty original, nice! Well, I had to view it several times to really
catch the laser.. I'd like to see this animation on a darker background (the
plane) and a stronger laser - that actually looks like 'light'.. And a bit
bigger resolution.. But then I'll probably save the anim to my personal
"hall of fame" ! ;o)

Photons and media is much slower than using trace to place a few cylinders. I
tried that approach a while ago but couldn't stand the render times.

Thanks. I re-rendering to remove the laser shadow. The laser is also stronger and
the resolution slightly higher (still mpg though). I'll post when finished.

Sweet deal! How about with radiosity and a high ambient on those cylinders?
A setup like this with a story/concept behind it would have made a great
entry in the overly complicated machines IRTC round. Looking forward to the
updated version.
