Pretty, but a shame it's so damn huge. Mind you, I'm not too sure that I
expected motion blur to mpeg down too well though.

So I assume this was MegaPOV internal motion blur?

Bye for now,
     Jamie.

Thought of a title for it. Break-dancing cubical. Missing the audio though,
something with record scratching in it maybe. Turned on my speakers to see if
there was any such thing there since you do some musical stuff.

Hmm..not sure I'd refer to 643Kb as 'huge', and I'm still using 56k modem.

Yeah, sure is. 0.6a was used

Sorry Bob, the thought never occurred to me... I suppose I could add some
tho...

Hey Bob... just knocked this up in 10 mins for you. I had to resize the
anim, and VideoMach wouldn't let me encode an mpeg with audio, so this is a
zipped avi.

As usual, it's spoiled by the fact that Media Player doesn't loop smoothly..

Enjoy.

Well, it kind of stops anyhow so no matter.
Thanks for doing this, it does add life to it. Although it had plenty before
too.
Don't know if you'll take this as a compliment or not but the music reminded me
of The CHESSMASTER 4000 Turbo, a game I haven't played for a couple years but
still remember the sound bites for piece moves. Not totally desirable while
playing chess but okay for POV-Ray animations ;-)
As to the audio for mpeg in Video Mach 2 I wish I knew how to do it, tried
mpeg-2 and couldn't, nothing seems to say you can't though. I have very little
experience in adding sound to begin with.

Bob

Yeah, that's true, but I designed the music to loop perfectly, so I was kind
of annoyed that it didn't. I even programmed the orchestral stabs to occur
at the same places that the anim changed direction (0.4 and 0.7 pov clock),
which was cool.

You're welcome...wish I'd thought to do it in the first place

Well, it literally took me 10 mins to make the music, with little or no
thought to it's artistic merit... just chose a few samples and sequenced
them. It's certainly 'up-beat'.

Well, it's strange. I ended up making the avi in exactly the same way as the
mpeg's with sound, but they just wouldn't play in Media Player. Got an 'out
of synch' error, or such like. Tried to follow the (bad ) link on the error
message to Microsofts site, but the page was nowhere to be found. Typical.
Well, I haven't yet read the docs to Video Mach, so it may explain things in
there, and also I notice that a new version was released a couple of days
ago, so it may be a bug which has now been fixed.

All the best,

Andy Cocker
