It was easy to make from the model I already had done - so I could not
resist. It's not thought to be a realistic movement ;)

... and I'll make the ant somewhat less fat

i didn't know ants worked out.  it seems he can do an infinite amount of

just run the anim for a couple of hours each day, that should do it :)

did you use moray and IK (read easy) , or is this all pov hand code (read
f... hard)

Sure is a good ant model.  Shouldn't the antennae be segmented somewhat like
the lower part of the legs?  This animation might have been better for
looping if it began and ended at the high or low point.
A distant view of about a hundred of these gathered around a potato chip
crumb would easily look realistic.

It's everything hand coded. I'm making a macro where you just have to
set the parameters for the ants (angles between the parts and position
of the legs) and it will generate the ant.

Once it's compleatly done you can find it at the povray objects
collection.
