That came to my mind as well (fireflies anyway) but then I thought about how
they fly around and it doesn't even come close. These glows would need to
mundanely float about widely separated, drifting a little up or down and
around much more stagnantly than this active animation shows. At least
that's how our fireflies, AKA lightning bugs, behave in this part of the
world.

These are alien fireflies. Can't you see they're different colors from the
ones here? :)

Exactly! ;-)
Besides, the flock *is* moving, but since the background isn't lit, and the
camera moves along with the flock, you can't see it...
