Love the lighting. You'll have to explain how you do it. :)

!!)

It would be nice that people would send the animations in a format viewable
by anyone (at least anyone using povray in his system). Looks like only
windows, mac, linux and beos is supported. I'm using solaris.

Btw, I don't trust that guy maintaining that site at all. He calls the
Windows version "PC Version" (although the Linux version is for PC as well).
He also mixes computers and operating systems together: he mentions two
computers (PC and Mac) and two OS's (Linux and beos).
That says something about his competence, I think.

I already have it... just not installed yet. I wanted to understand what I
was getting into by installing such a rogue codec before leaping ;-) That,
and I forgot about it after thinking it over.

Got to agree with that statement. Just that it's not going to be 100%
possible to get every single person on the bandwagon. As usual.

More competent than me I suppose. LOL

That,

you should never have any problems installing a video codec, and if it all
goes wrong, it should only effect media made using the problem codec

- trust me, this is the best codec i have ever used, small file size, good
picture quality, and if you add sould, thats good as well :)

i could have posted it in standard avi (a whopping 800k), or a mpg (if i
could get avi2mpg to work)

i know, so his web building skills are poor in the extreme :) but if you
trying to get your works accepted by the mass pc (windows) market, then
refering to your product as a 'pc version' is the norm (as its assumed
windows = pc, which 90% of the time it does)
