I am finally getting somewhere with the runnels, but I had to change the
texture back to clay, instead of the media I had, in order to have it render
sometime this year.

that is very very good, but instead of the stone expanding down later on in
the anim, it really should crumble (but thats a ton more work:)
maybe you should add a slight 3d rotation...
!!!!
Just hit me - you could to a killer star trek 2 genesis weapon planet with
that (if it grew out instead of in)
!!!!

That is an isosurface right? It looks just like a surface normal up until
the end of the animation. It looks cool.

Right, The whole animation (which was too large) shows the further
development onto rubble. But I have yet to find a way to make it fall to the
ground so I have floating rubble... not so groovy...

Thanks to all, I have gone through a lot of animations waiting for one
