i have cancelled the previous attempt

MY FIRST ANIMATION POST _ WOO HOO

this is an old image i did about a year ago but did not have to power to
animate it, done using moray 3.2 and the anim plug (nice one xander).

i hope nobody has any problems with multipart posts (in outlook select both
posts, then r.click and pick combine and decode)

sorry about the AVI, but could i get avi2mpg to work! could i hell kept
saying could not read frame 0, and no frames appeared in the little preview
window - am i supposed to make a full frames uncompressed avi first???

its quite simple really, especially using Outlook express any how, i dont
know about netscape but there should be something similar

click on part 1.
hold ctrl
click on the other parts one by one, till you have selected all of them.
let go of ctrl
then Right Click on the selected messages, and from the popup menu pick
combine and decode

Volia !

there should be something similar in most other news readers, you may have
to look it up in the help file

if your newsreader does not support multipart messages then you will have to
copy all the text parts carefully to individual txt files and use a seperate
decoder program - if you have to do this then maybe its time you got a new
news reader!

I remember seeing that option in the right-mouse pop up window -- now I just
need to find those files again.... :|

always. or a loss-less, mostly loss-less compression. but avi2mpg should
work with any properly installed codec on your windows system.  then again,
who knows...

you _could_ try to fabricate an mpg directly from the TGA's using CMPEG and
my little frontend to the latter at http://stols.net ...

I like your anim, funny thing is that a few days ago somebody suggested to
me the exact same subject for an animation! Not a mirror, though, but the
real stone...

i cannot get it to work with any avi file, in any format...

can some one point me to a URL where i can dl it again (maybe i have an old
version?)

BTW what did ppl think of the anim?

i had to post it twice as the first time round part 2/3 was dropped, and
hence i cancalled it and reposted

as your using netscape to read it i have no idea - its a bit of a cack
newsreader if it dosnt support multipart posts, as i have said in outlook
you just highlight all parts and pick combine and decode and all is done for
you..

maybe with netscape if you view the message properties you should be able
then to select and copy the encoded text by hand - for my anim there should
be 3 parts, 2 at just under 500k and one at 300k ish
