Unfortunately, you asked the wrong question.

If you have a file greater than 700 kb, the povray server will reject
your posting with the warning that it is greater than 1000000 bytes!

Hence, people refer to kbbu (kilobytes before upload). The limit on this
server is 700kbbu for me.

700k before upload, but if you set you newsreader to split posts over say
500k, then a 600k post will be cut into 2 parts, you can get around the
posting limits that way..

however - as i recently found out - some ppl are not to familiar with spilt
posts, and interest is raised in 'how do i' than you hard work

dont post anything over 1.5MB - put some stills up and link it to some
webspace

mpeg compression (if i could get it to work) will help keep the size down
