I hope this fits under the size limit ...

Not too happy with the way this turned out, too much banding on the ball
itself, plus the 'starfield' is cheezy. But I do like the actual texturing
of the ball.

on the other hand, if you make it a tad brighter - i really like it - maybe
you should have rotated just the leccy thingy, instead of the whole scene

Could have titled this Crab Nebula merry-go-round.
Is there layering used to make up the elecball?  The starfield gives it
placement anyhow.  You know where this might go real well though is one of
those static balls you can put your hand on to enhance the spark. What are
those called? Plasma ball, electro ball?  Maybe that's what you were doing
with this anyway.

Yes ... layering .. but not enough. Maybe in the anim you can't see it, but
a still shows definite banding. I don't know what I was doing with it, but
it does look like one of "those" balls. Maybe I could put it in a glass
sphere, on a base and call it good.
