3.8 doesn't work with LDD - POV converter,
but that's fine. Might be on the converter side.

Well, v3.7 connects to converter thru callback
as I understand it - 3.7 works fine, 3.8 does not.
( can't locate the ldd include files )

Maybe it's just a matter of setting up v3.8's master `povray.ini`?

v3.8 should be using its own dedicated copy of that file rather than 
sharing it with v3.7's, so you would need to set it up again if LDD 
needs anything to be done to it.
