I'm working on getting a new beta out (this time with some real fixes).
Please, as usual, be patient with the delay ... :[

Personally, I find it keeps me much more interested to have to play around
with my system clock to get POVRay Beta to run - If it weren't for the
jarring "Pre-Release Expired" messagebox, I would've got bored months ago :D

On a serious note, I'm assuming this si to stop the dev tema being flooded
with bug reports for bugs which have already been adressed. May I suggest
instead of closing outright, make the messagebox a "Continue and agree not
to complain? [Y/N]"

Not sure what happens on Linux when it's expired so can't really comment -
maybe a C-L switch?

Either way, thanks for making sure there's always somethign to work with.

Regards,
Simon

actually come to think of it, that's not such a bad idea ...

Yes, me too. I've only just started using the beta, to render some images at
poster sizes, and it's very impressive. The clock solution is not a problem
(I don't use that machine for anything else!) but I too like the idea of a
disclaimer.

Keep up the good work, it's definitely appreciated. :)

Me too. I stopped testing the beta releases because of the intervals
without a working beta. When I do use POV that is often work related and
there are just those instances with (other persons) deadlines that I
cannot afford to not being able to render a scene while fiddling with
the system clock is also not an option.

I used 3.7 beta for my work in July, fortunately in "working" period
;-). The scene taked forever with 3.6 (about one and half day) and about
one hour with 3.7 beta. Don't know, if I have some problem with my
installation of 3.6 or if 3.7 is so faster.

Yes, and I'am looking forward to 3.7 with working radiosity ;-). Will it
have similar algorithm as 3.6, modified to work multithreaded, or
completely new appoach?

Thanks to POV team for their work!

Vaclav
