Try rendering scenes\objectmods\no_image.pov
The object with no_image is not showing in the reflection either
with pov3.7beta4 (with pov3.6 it shows in the reflection, naturally).
Likewise in scenes\objectmods\no_reflection.pov the 'no_reflection'
keyword doesn't seem to have any effect.
