Hi, Felix. Discussions of possible bugs for v3.5 should be held in
povray.general, unless otherwise specified by the POV-Team or TAG. The
bugreports group is for verifiable bugs, only - not discussions.

I cite from ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/Official/Linux/README:

Please report any problems to the povray.beta-test group on news.povray.org
(which is still active for reporting initial post-release problems).

Regards,

Which is nothing more than a leftover from the beta testing that wasn't
removed...

What real-time rendering is this?

I haven't actually downloaded the final version yet, would that answer my
question? =)

There's an easter egg (ie. hidden feature) which is triggered by doing
something special.
(Good thing the trick hasn't been widely spread yet... The surprise effect
is still there. :P )

*gasp*

Augh! Must find it!

Or perhaps it will be left in the code somewhere when that comes out? =)

No, the RTR demo is kept separate and POV-Ray source that will be
distributed will not include it - that way official versions are "unique" in
their own way. However, it is likely that you will be able to find the
enabling key combination in the source code...

    Thorsten

PS: The key combination is different on Macs, but the Mac docs are fairly
clear in giving hints :-)

Well, I've tried every key combination I can think of on my keyboard
involving only one key, and various combinatoins of "povray" and "ykybrtlw",
and haven't found it. So I guess I'll just have to stumble onto it someday
like I assume tincanman did =)

Actually there was some discussion about it in one of the groups a while
ago.
