I suggest to add a comma after the disc location vector, before the normal
vector :

disc {
  <0, 1, 0>  <--- add comma here    // center position
  z,         // normal vector
  1.0,       // outer radius
  0.2        // optional hole radius
}

Ok. I will although I almost never use disks. Except for compact disks,
harddisks, floppydisks, and zipdisks.
