For those that didn't see my post in p.b.i., I've been working on a short media
clouds animationn, which I think came out pretty good.
The animation is on Vimeo here, along with an explanation of the process that I
used to work around the SLOW media renders:

The cloud master! Very cool & appreciate the explanation of the process
to accomplish it reasonably in povray.
I do see a a little stutter in the effective panning shot, but I think
it the 24fps and not your cloud animation technique.
Drifting - The opening sequences in Jackson's "The Hobbit" had for me a
stutter too as viewed in a traditional 2d film print movie theatre.
Later shots in that film seemed more smooth. Maybe my eyes/brain got
tired as that movie progressed eventually going with intent, or, perhaps
different techniques were used to get to the 24fps, 2d print within the
film.
In our povray community too, not long ago, somebody (sorry, the old
brain cells are failing me) did a space sequence with different frame
rates & blurring.
Anyway... Well done & thanks for sharing your demo & technique.
