Hello

Just wondering if anyone has any hints on smooth animation of a Quaternion
fractal?

I have seen it done before and it always looked amazing, but I could never
find the source code for the animation.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please

Thanks

darrenf

Well you play with the <4D_Julia_Parameter>
For the animation at
http://news.povray.org/povray.binaries.animations/31299/
I varied the first parameter between -2 and 1 and kept the last three at 0.0
I was looking for a flat 2D effect. I suggest varying the first two parameters
to start with. I am sorry I have lost all the test animations I did except one.
If you want I will post it.

Regards

Opps I've changed my mind. Keep the second parameter 0 or the fractal breaks up
as in my animation. Try varying the last parameter as well.

Go check out what I posted to scene-files.

I love quaternion fractal anims too, but they are tough to get a handle on.
I have an extension of POV called QuatPOV that provides new types, but it
has fallen short of my expectations.
