I thought there was an automatic 1Mb limit on this group. That posting
was 1.8 Mb!

oops. I don't post animations very often, so I goofed. I will nuke it
here and put it in binaries.

Good point, hadn't occurred to me. Like many people I suppose I have these
message-only groups set
to retrieve all messages. I didn't know this file was here and there was a lot of
disk activity
which had me wondering what was going on. Was a little surprised to see a animation
playing in the
message there once I came across it.
Hopefully no one got the binary I accidentally uploaded 3 weeks ago. Same mistake,
thinking I was
in the p.b.a. group.
Quite the problem if all the non-binary groups have no limit.

He had a *link* to an image. He probably could have had a link to a 1 GB gif anim and
many of our
systems would have automatically loaded it as if it were "on the server."

I see it in the message properties as encoded file attachment here. It was to
be cancelled so maybe only a reply having the link is here now.
Still says PointyFighter.gif (1.36 MB) in his posting and 1820KB after
encoding.
Was a whopper of a attachment.
