I know this is a bit off topic
but I have a big problem and I
didn't know where else to post it:
All my collected .jpg and .avi
animations (and also .wav sounds)
are not playable in windows 95
anymore. When I try to open one
it says "No combination of filters
could be found to render the
stream".
How will I ever be able to view all
my dear downloaded irtc animations
and other things again?
Thanks,

I don't know if this will solve your problems but take a look in the
windows control panel in the settings for multi-media. You should have
compression codecs listed as available and installed or you may have a
list of codecs on the system that ara vaailable to install. I'm not sure
what the proceedures are for registering these to the system are but your
problem sounds like it is associated with this system control area.

You may be forced to re-run Windows Setup. In Control Panel, Add-Remove
Programs icon, then Windows Setup tab. On the list scroll to Multimedia
and press Details button. Select what you need and have your Windows 95
CD in the drive ready to go.
That should reset things back to a viewable condition.
Sounds almost like what may have happened is another program took over
the task of operating those files and has since either been uninstalled
or removed or broken down somehow.
That's all my help to offer...

I recently reinstalled Windows and MSIE and all kinds of crap, and
before it was all over, I was having this error too. What I did was go
to the Microsoft web site and download the latest version of Windows
Media Player. This apparently reinstalls all the codecs you need for
video and audio. I haven't had this problem since.
