Hi all,
I have imported a mesh-model into moray and wended all of its points. Now I
want to increase the value for subdivision surface. When I do so, I get the
message "irregular face neighbours [3]".
What exactly does that mean and how can I fix it?
Thanx in advance!
Mark

I had this problem a while ago and discovered that there were some edges
that were duplicated. I selected all the edges and clicked "Unify Mesh" and
it fixed it.

Thanx. But it didn't help... :-(
Does anyone have further ideas?

Hi Mark, you recently wrote in moray.win:

It means that there are edges that are shared by more than two faces,
which is a no-no for subdivision surfaces.
Are you a registered user? If so, I can send you a small experimental
patch that will highlight the offending area, so that you can easily
fix it....
Otherwise, just analyze suspicious areas of the mesh where more than
two faces meet at an edge....
Failing that, you can send me the MDL file and I'll fix it for you.
