Folks,
Complete doofus that I am, I managed to lose all the code for POV-Include
(all of it, back-ups as well). Don't ask, I feel pretty miserable about it.
Sorry guys ... but that's the end of the story on this plugin. I must have
spent 40-80 hours over the Xmas holidays on it. It could be "re-created"
but right now I don't have the will/motivation.
Lets hope we can enjoy the last release and hope it doesn't break.
Neil

Well there we go!
What a pain for you. I am sorry to hear this. On the bright side we
are one useful plugin up.

Neil,
That is really sad!! I sympathize with you.
But the dll is around and working, so everything was not for nothing!

Acc...
Everyone can understand: losing files is a way to stop creative processes
:-(
However you have given us a very good toy and the concept of a POV-Include
remains great.

Aren't there decompilers that could be used? Not sure if there is and the
result might not be perfect, but it is one possibility.

Patrick,
Sadly no ... not for compiled C++.

Hmm. According to google this isn't 100% true. It would be more accurate
to say that decompilers are compiler specific. They have them for HP-UX
and .NET.. Though, maybe not. I just found this:
http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~cristina/dcc.html
Oops, that is for DOS, so not sure what it would do to C++ for Win32.
There is this though:
http://boomerang.sourceforge.net/
You could try them out and see. Even if they got close, it would be
easier than reproducing the entire thing from scratch. Biggest issue I
can see it not recognizing API calls for windows specific stuff, etc.

I have also lost large amounts of data before, and I know it is
*devastating*. Is this a case where a utility that can read deleted file
fragments from the hard drive might? If not, just stay cool. It is not
the end of the world.
