Lutz,
Something really nice, would be a kind of 'magnet' enabling one object to be
placed exactly on another one and/or at an exact place on that object.
Something working like 'trace' in POV-Ray, or 'put on' in Wings3D.
Especially in complex scenes or with complex objects, this would be
extremely helpful.
Would that be possible in Moray? And if so, would it be a likely option for
the near future? ;-)

I support that feature request
Take care of "multi" superposed objects. Do you think that snap on an other
object would be possible in the 3d window?

Workaround: make a group or CSG and put both objects in it

That is not what I mean. I want to be able to 'glue' - for instance- two
faces of two objects together. In some instances, when the objects are
complex, it is difficult to get them perfectly superposed. Again, the trace
function of pov is a good analogy of what I dream of.

I agree. CSG is not the response. Sometimes we have to zoom very high on th
eedges of the objects to place them just a the good place.

See moray.binaries, same subject, for an example where a 'trace' possibility
in Moray would have been most helpful.
