I just get the main news.povray.org with no moray.beta threads showing.  And
I get weirdness when I go to news.stumc.com.  Any shedded light?

The moray.beta group is not available on the web interface. You have
to access it via the actual news server using a properly configured
news reading program. Sorry for the limitation.

I don't know anything about news.stumac.com so can't shed any light on
that for you.
