Hi Lutz,
as i mentioned in the thread before, i want to export a hamapatch to
moray, in order to work with the created object in moray. One of my
first ideas was, to export the file to spatch and then using your spatch
plugin to get anmoray object. So far, it works fine. But there seems to
be a little problem with rounded edges (see attached pics). Is there any
work arround?

best wishes,

Robert

pic 1: directly exported to povray

pic 2: exported to spatch, exported to moray

BTW, i have the same problem, when i start directly with spatch, without
using the converted file from hamapatch

It seems like a problem with the U or V steps as well as the flatness.
Try this:
First try decreasing flatness (to say 0.0001).
If that doesn't help enough, also try increasing U and V by 1 or 2.

You could also take a look at the POV file that hamapatch directly
exports and look what Hamapatch exporting for the U,V and flatness
values and use those on the Moray patches.

Ok, tried it. But nothing has changed... Here a part of the pov-file,
exported from hamapatch....

Ok, i didn't gave up.
The hamapach exported povray values for flatness 0, u_steps 3, v-steps 3
don't work! (strange).
But changing the values in moray to flatness 0, u_steps 1 and v_steps 1
work fine for me.

best wishes,

Robert
