Hi all,

I just did some experimenting, trying to figure out media in Moray/Pov, and
I came up with some pretty cool texture libs. Fire and lasers. Let me know
if interested and Ill send them to you.

Perhaps it would be good idea to put them (with example images) in a www-page
so that everyone can see them and download them if desired.

Hmm. I admit to being a newbie Moray user, so perhaps you can explain what
I seem to be doing wrong. If I use your laser or fire media textures... the
object I apply them seems to turn completely transparent - no trace of media
shows up in the image. They do, however, show up as wonderful previews in
the texture editor. A simple mistake on my part?

Do you have "Hollow" turned on for the object?

Hey, don't worry about the hollow thing. It'll kill any Moray user since it
doesn't come very obviously ;-)

To this day, I still forget it often. Hehe :-D

Remember that not only must the object be hollow, but it must be in hollow
objects.

ie: If you have a media filled sphere, with hollow turned on, nothing will be
displayed if it is within another sphere, without hollow toggled. Oddly, even
infinite planes have an 'inside' and 'outside', so they should be made hollow as
well.

Personally, I'd like to see all objects default to hollow. It's rare that I
don't want a hollow object...

Hey Phead, these textures look nice for your first media experiments! One
thing, however, you might want to put in a few more textures in your next
set if you release it. Just a thought :-)

Anyways, keep up the good work!
