Most of us stay off the internet because that little icon at the bottom of
the screen slows down POV-Ray by that little bit<G>

No, really, mostly here and comp.graphics.rendering.raytracing

As for real time stuff, it depends. I have a couple raytracing ICQ
buddies, but I don't think there are any actual chat rooms for it.

Check out #povray on dalnet,newnet, and efnet.

There's also the AOL POV-Ray Chat every Saturday night at 9:30 ET, being
on AOL helps. Never used it but I think there's a method to getting
there via the internet, I may be wrong.
The news.povray set of groups is best by far that I've seen (plug for
POV :))

As a supplement also to my remarks regarding the creatures you've done,
ng povray.binaries.images has tons of interesting stuff people have done,
are doing and talkin' about.
