PDB stands for Protein DataBase (I think). It's created by scientific
molecular modelling apps.

Actualy I think the data base files hold the information that
molecular modeling apps utilize rather than create. The national
protein data base is one such location that stock piles pdf files
used for the sharing of research in human oganic protein studies.
