You don't need to double click, a Ctrl-Shift-Single Left click will clear
it, as long as you make damn sure you don't move the mouse whilst
clicking.
I had major problems for a while getting rid of this on my machine, since
I use a graphics tablet, and in the end, the only sensible way to get
round the problem was to plug a USB mouse in as well, and use that to
clear the region...
I think I've looked, but I don't think there's a keyboard shortcut for
clearing regions. Maybe in the next version? I for one would find it
useful.
